Nelson Mandela Abbey Library

The library of Nelson Mandela Abbey opened its doors in June 2014 on an area of 5200 m2.
Designed by the firm Chabanne + Partners, the low-energy building is distinguished by its transparent structure allowing the interior to benefit from maximum natural lighting.
The spaces of the library are organised on four levels and around five spaces: the kiosk, the media library for children, the Cineromans space (a French film production company of the silent movie era), the mezzanine of the Arts and the documentary space.
Real place of life, meetings and entertainment, the library of the Nelson Mandela Abbey welcomes all audiences and all ages.
Brown USM was chosen for the wide variety of furniture configurations: shelving, trolleys and reception units. Large USM Haller desks equipped with power outlets welcome visitors wishing to enjoy the atmosphere quiet places to work.
