Understated elegance in a New York loft
New York, USA
In the Chelsea neighbourhood of New York, Loren Daye, founder of the interior design and architecture studio Love Is Enough, has transformed a duplex apartment into a modern space that is distinguished by its understated elegance. She has opted for a unique aesthetic to create the perfect showcase for some remarkable furniture and objects, including the USM configurations specially designed for this project.
The aim was to draw inspiration from minimalist and radical design to give character to this new and rather conventional apartment. As a result, this loft has become symbolic of the empty space that is so rare in New York. This is a place where time seems to stand still. A unique USM Haller statement desk with glass surface and a coat rack, designed by a David Weeks of Studio David Weeks, add a futuristic touch.
Occasional furniture in golden yellow and orange and a magnificent vintage USM Haller table with a green lacquered glass top infuse the space with colour.
The beige USM Haller dressing table perfectly complements the elegant mahogany panelling.
The use of USM furniture played a crucial role in bringing this project to fruition. The USM Haller pieces designed specifically for this apartment act as the focal point, epitomising both functionality and elegant design. In short, this apartment is much more than just a living space; it embodies the very essence of contemporary design, with USM furniture as the unifying thread running through a highly original visual narrative.
