Looking through the glass into Nouvel’s headquarters

Mexico City, Mexico

With over 25 years of experience, Nouvel is a pioneer in the design and production of blown glass and collaborate with international brands across various industries to develop high-standard glass projects.

Nouvel's headquarters, located within its production plant, underwent extensive remodelling to expand and reconfigure the existing building, nearly doubling the usable area.

The project was developed by the design studio Tuux and evolved from an exhibition curated by Mexican designer Emiliano Godoy, which sparked the idea for Nouvel to create a permanent collection and an internal structure for archiving.

The design aligns with the company's new identity and environmental responsibility, including a long-term focus on furniture and structures that could be repurposed for the office extension, making USM modular furniture a natural choice.

The main entrance leads to the Gallery, a public space where visitors can see the work of glassblowing artisans.

The double-height archive space is accessible from a bridge and staircase, and large openings connect all the offices on the upper floor with a mezzanine allowing visitors to view the artisans' working from above.

USM modular furniture adorns the newly furnished offices of Nouvel, reflecting the company's timeless excellence, precision in design and functionality. The offices are outfitted with USM Haller desks and USM Privacy Panels, while the boardrooms feature USM Haller credenzas displaying distinct pieces.
