Friends Paul Schärer and Fritz Haller travelled to Chicago to meet Herman Miller. Both admirers of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, they were delighted to see the visionary’s buildings in Chicago. They also met with Charles Eames, George Nelson and Konrad Wachsmann.
